Kyambogo University, Uganda’s second-largest public university, is launching two transformative Public-Private Partnership (PPP) projects: the student accommodation and a multi-purpose sports complex with a business center. Recognizing the need for modern infrastructure, Kyambogo University has developed an innovative Resource Mobilization and Investment Policy. Through Public-Private Partnerships (PPPs), we are launching two flagship projects: a 10,000-bed student accommodation and a multi-purpose sports complex with a business center.

Project Impact and Purpose

The Kyambogo PPP projects aim to enhance student welfare, sports infrastructure, and commercial services, while generating revenue to support the university’s growth and development.

Yes, there will be an open tender process, starting with a Request for Qualifications (RFQ) phase. Qualified investors will be shortlisted and invited to submit proposals during the Request for Proposals (RFP) phase, after which the most qualified investor will be selected.

The Project will be on a Design, Build, Finance, Operate and Transfer basis, following the Uganda PPP Act and guidelines.

Kyambogo University Campus is in Nakawa Municipality, approximately 10 km from Kampala’s central business district along the Kampala–Jinja highway.
